Jerry Joe Inman passed away on Friday, December 10, 2010, after a valiant battle with cancer. He was much loved husband and father and will be sorely missed. Jerry was born on January 10, 1927, to Samuel and Gertrude Cole Inman in Beaumont, Texas. He served in the U.S. Navy during WWII in the Philippines. He worked for Southwestern Bell and Lucent for 35 years. Jerry was made to retire and made the most of his years. He enjoyed golf, fly fishing, singing barbershop, woodworking, motorcycles, the Point Theater and sharing good times with friends. Jerry was a member of the Kerrville Church of Christ where he worshiped our Lord among many friends. He was cared for during his illness with skill and kindness by Dr. Rebecca Barrington, Dr. Klaus Schroeder and Peterson Hospice. He is preceded in death by his parents and brother William Inman. Jerry is survived by the love of his life wife Kathryn Inman; six children Dorothy Tippet, Andrew Tippet and wife Jackie, Janet LeBlanc and husband Dirk, Terry Hooks and husband Robert, and Benton Adair and wife Frances; 8 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren, sister-in-law Gloria Stone, 9 nieces, 4 nephews and many other family members and friends who love him will miss him. Military Memorial services will be held 1pm, Saturday, January 08, 2011 at the Kerrville Church of Christ (Loop 534) in Kerrville Texas. In lieu of flowers memorials can be made to the Kerrville Church of Christ Building Fund or the Diamond Dachshund Rescue.
