Sarah Caroline (Finch) Hunt, 75, died July 18, 2012, at Peterson Regional Medical Center, Kerrville, TX.

Sarah was born on November 16, 1936, in Indianola, NE to the late Harry and Sarah Finch. She married Gary Hunt on December 7, 1953. Sarah was a devoted mother and wife. She was an active member of the Notre Dame Catholic Church, serving in the prayer shawl ministry. She was active in the American Legion Auxiliary serving as the 8th District President State of Kansas and the Vice President of the 21st District State of Texas. She was a volunteer with the American Cancer Societys Relay for Life fundraisers for the past eight years in Leakey, TX.

Sarah is survived by her husband of 58 years, Gary of Kerrville, TX, seven children: Cynthia (Ron) Davis of Wichita, KS; Harry (Patti) Hunt of San Marcos, TX; Kevin (Laurie) Hunt of Derby, KS, Trudi Hunt of Kerrville, TX; Geralyn (Mike) Cherry of Camp Zamu Sagamihara, Japan; Brenda (Todd) Frank of Mesa, AZ; and Kendra Chambers of Blythe, CA; two brothers: Floyd (Pat) Finch of Lebanon, NE and her younger brother, Bernie (Sue) Finch of Cheyenne, WY; fourteen grandchildren and ten great grandchildren. She is further survived by many nieces, nephews, and dear friends.

She is preceded in death by three sisters, Rosemary Arnold, Catherine Tuttle, and Peggy Lundy; two brothers, Francis Bud and Frederick and one grandchild, Amanda Hunt.

Memorial services will be held Friday, July 20 at 2:00 at Notre Dame Catholic Church, Kerrville. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be sent to the American Cancer Society.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to the Peterson Regional Medical Center staff for their compassionate and professional care and the loving members of the Notre Dame Catholic Church.
