John Elwyn Churchill at the age of 85 went to be with his Lord and Savior on Wednesday, June 03, 2009 at the VA hospital in Kerrville Texas. He was born on June 07, 1923 in Pleasanton, Texas to Joseph and Berta "Lusk" Churchill. John served in the U.S. Navy from 1950 until 1951. He was a real estate salesman for most of his life in and around Kerr County. John married Alma Sincleair on June 08, 1949 in Crystal City, Texas. He was a member of Kerrville First Baptist Church. John loved to sing he was in many men quartet and the Rodery Clubs and he sang in the choir at Kerrville First Baptist Church for many years he had a beautiful voice. He is preceded in death by his parents and 9 siblings. John is survived by his wife of 59 years Alma Churchill of Kerrville, Texas; son Loren and wife Jamie Churchill of Boerne, Texas; grandson Sean Churchill of Boerne, Texas and many other family members and friends who loved him will miss him.
