Majors, On behalf of me and my staff I want to extend my condolences for your loss. Mike was an awesome man, we were all lucky to have been in his life at all. I used to think of him as this big burly policeman during Mike Jr and my rocket football days. Actually I was scared of him!!! It was a pleasure to take care of Mike,Clara and the rest of his family. Majors if you guys need anything please call us immediately and we will spring to action. You will be in our hearts forever............Dr. Brian

Dear Clara and family, I am sorry for your loss. I first met. Mike when he worked for. Conrail, and I worked for TkPD. I was working midnights and I made a traffic stop at Mosel Ave and Pitcher St. Mike stopped behind and ask if I was ok. I told that I was ok and he waited until I cleared my stop, and he drove off. He would show up on many of my traffic stops to back me up when it was not his job. He reminded me of the"Lone Ranger." He was there to assist, and then he would disappear. I always knew that he was somwhere out there watching my back. He became a great friend and brother. He will be missed.

I was fortunate to have met Mike through his brother Denny and because of Mike I am a police officer. I have had a great career and owe my thanks to Mike for that. He was best-man at my wedding and I still remember words of encouragement he gave me for a successful marriage and I have been married for 31 years. His encouragement worked. May God be with you my friend - and continuous blessings to Clara and family. "Sponge" and Shelley

Mike and I served together in Korea, and following our military service both ended up in police work. It has always been an honor for me to say I worked along side Mike. I knew Mike as a man of integrity and courage. Dave Weessies, Kalamazoo Public Safety, Retired.

To the Major family, I am so sorry for your loss. I had the priviledge to work with Mike when he was an officer for Conrail and I was an officer at the Township of Kazoo. He then came over to the Township. I still lived in the Township after I left there and was able to keep in touch with Mike and see him. He was dedicated to his work and family and I am so sorry he was taken away at such a young age. Heck 60's are young these days. May god bless you in these difficult times. Mike was such a great person. I had the priveledge of meeting and working with him while he was with the TKPD. He made me feel welcome when I moved to the area with my family and was working in the township. He always had a smile and a joke. He had the kindest heart as well. I have seen this disease take too many people before their time was due and I believe Mike to be in that number. My condolences to those he has left behind as I know what you are going through and I will keep your family in my thoughts and prayers. He always spoke so highly about his family and cared about them so very much. He will be sorely missed by so many people! Shelly & Glen Clark and Family
