Gene passed away Thursday, October 22, 2009 at Bronson Lakeview Nursing and Rehab Center in Lawton. He was born May 14, 1928 in Kalamazoo, MI the son of the late Oscar and Rosa (Willis) Otto. Gene was a veteran of the Korean War serving in the U.S. Army with Company G, 14th Infantry Regiment. He was employed at the Mead Corp. retiring in 1965. Surviving are a 3 brothers, Harry Otto of Plainwell, Guy Otto of Valrico, FL and Lee Otto of Louisville, KY; sister, Charlene Paden of Tampa, FL; many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a brother, Lyle Otto and a sister, Joy Smith. Cremation has taken place. A graveside service will be held Monday (10/26), 10 a.m. at Hill Cemetery in Lawrence with military honors. Memorial contributions may be made to Bronson Lakeview Nursing and Rehab Center Patient Activity fund. Arrangements are by the Adams Funeral Home, Paw Paw.
