Paw Paw

Marguerite passed away Friday morning, November 6, 2009 at her home. She was born March 30, 1917 in Charlotte, MI the daughter of the late Norman Leroy and Maude Mae (Stahl) Mahan. .

Marguerite grew up in Jackson, MI, graduating from Jackson High School in 1935 and from Foote Memorial Nursing School as a Registered Nurse in 1938. She was nurse in several hospitals around Michigan, retiring from LakeView Hospital in Paw Paw in 1977. She was a member of St. Marys Catholic Church in Paw Paw, was active in the Altar Society, Mission Group, enjoyed her bridge club and belonged to the Coterie Association.

On May 9, 1942 in Cadillac, MI, Marguerite was united in marriage to Frederick B. ODonnell who preceded her in death on March 7, 1977. She was also preceded in death by her parents, and a sister, Dorothy Werner.

Surviving are 3 children, Michael (Francy) ODonnell of Scottsdale, AZ, Mary (Paul) Juriga of Marion, MI, Kathleen Preib of Paw Paw; 5 grandchildren, Megan (Marshall) Pattie of Staunton, VA, Becky Preib, Paul Juriga, Jr., Thomas (Dawn) Juriga all of Paw Paw, Steve (Nichole) Juriga of Lawrence; 7 great grandchildren, Stephen Jr., Matthew, Paul, Natalie, Olivia, Sophia and Sawyer; a sister, Genevieve Brown of Eugene, OR; many nieces and nephews.

Family will receive friends this evening (Sunday), from 6-8 p.m. at the Adams Funeral Home, Paw Paw, where a vigil service will be held at 7:30. Mass of Christian Burial will be held Monday 11 a.m. at St. Marys Catholic Church, Paw Paw. Interment will follow in St. Marys Cemetery, Paw Paw.

Kathy,Becky,and all of the family members,I'm keeping you in my thoughts as you are going through this time and am hoping that Mrs.ODonnell is at rest now,she was a good wife and mother and it shows in all of you.
