My sincere condolences to the Ribory family and sudden loss of Doug. As a former co-worker at the Popcorn Factory, Doug was always all smiles and helpful. We would often share a 4-H story or Fair memory.

How sad to hear my friend has passed from this earth. Doug was always friendly, giving, and kind to others. A true Christian spirit! He was always so proud of his children, and talked about them often. Doug and I shared a playful sense of humor, of such that when another friend had seen us together quite often and remarked "is he your father?" we both answered "YES". The years following that incident, I often affectionately called him "Dad", and he'd call me "Daughter" even though we were only 6 years apart in age. To Doug's family, I thank you for the gift I had in being a part of Doug's life and the cherished friendship he gave me. My prayers are with you as you mourn the loss of this kindhearted man. I praise God knowing eventually, we shall meet again in Heaven. God bless you and comfort you. Shelley

So shocked and saddened over Doug's passing. Doug was one of the first people I met the first day of Junior High. From that day until I last saw him at our class reunion I always enjoyed his positive attitude and love of life. His love of life and especially his children was infectious. He had some bad luck but always stayed upbeat. Doug and his kind spirit will be missed.

I just saw Doug at the PWP dance on Sat. in South Bend. We talked and he was his usual happy and talkative self. He certainly had a great "LAST DANCE." He will be missed.

Our thoughts and prayers are with the Ribordy family. One moment I would like to share with you is, Doug and Tina had invited Cindy, Jill, & I to go water skiing on Lake Schaffer. We had a good time. I remember Doug leaning back in the seat of the boat and saying, 'Isn't this the life'. He was so happy and I am glad we spent time together. May you feel the comfort of the Lord during this difficult time. Terry
