Boots passed away Friday morning, November 27, 2009 at the home of his son in Paw Paw. He was born August 11, 1933 in Lawton the son of the late Edward A. and Irene (Smith) Darling. He was employed as a mechanic for Knouse Foods for over 52 years. He enjoyed bowling, hunting, fishing and camping with his family. Surviving are a son, Edward (Sonia) darling of Paw Paw; daughters, Martha Konkle of Paw Paw, Cindy (Mark Ferrell) Rager of Taylor, AR; grandchildren, Richard Darling, Jessica Scott, Steve (Marianne) Rager, Ginny Piper, Amanda Konkle, Christine (Bryan) Hiller and Teri (David) Ferrell; great grandchildren, Jessie James Scott, Samantha and Shane Hiller, Dakota, Sierra, Lexi and Kayla Rager; brother, George Darling of Lawton; 3 sisters, Elaine (Max) Loker of Schoolcraft, Grace Smead of Mattawan and Aline Dudash of Kalamazoo; nieces and nephews; former wife, Wanda Darling of Paw Paw. Family will receive friends Tuesday (12/1) 2-4 & 6-8 at the Adams Funeral Home, Paw Paw where funeral services will be held Wednesday 11 a.m. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice Care of Southwest Michigan.
