Dear Auntie Etta & Family, In God's Book of Life there are many chapters. Some are happy, some sad and some so-so. Although this one chapter in you life has come to an end, it was a wonderful chapter! One you can go back to and reread with happiness, not sadness in your heart. That's OK to do, to go back and marvel at such a fantastic chapter in your Book of Life. However, just because one chapter has come to an end, don't put God's book aside. There are many more chapters for you that will make you happy. Also, some that will make you sad and some that are just so-so. Your story has not ended, so put your faith in God and continue on, to the next chapter in your Book of Life. Honest, it's a good thing. Love to all of you, Mary Jean & Family

To my beloved adopted Family- Your Dad was a man of "Great Love", for family, freinds and community! He had the special gift of the "common touch" making everyone feel welcomed, safe and loved. There was nothing about him that was common-He tried to make this world a good place for all and tried to have a good time doing it! May your family find comfort in all that you were and all the love you gave to all! God bless you Martha

The pain is certainly great when we lose a loved one in death. Our heavenly Father had promised long ago that, by means of his Son, Christ Jesus, he is going to bring about changes on the earth. (Isa.53:5) At that time, all sickness, sorrow, pain, and even death will be no more. (Isa.25:8; Rev.21:4) God will absolutely fulfill his promises. It is impossible for him to lie. (Joshua 21:45; Heb.6:18) My deepest sympathy.

I do not know what to say right now ... words cannot come to my mind. I will miss him dearly and, if it wasn't for JT doing the typing right now, I'd be a regular basket case. I know that I loved him and he was my most FAVOREDIST Uncle!!!! He was such a LOVELY man and the you and him were my most loved relations. Aunt Lass, God bless you!!!! I LOVE you and I feel so extremely sad, but I know in my heart that you shared something the rest of us can only dream of. Know that he made a profound impact on all of us "Hack" nieces and nephews ... and we are ALL better for knowing him; and that we are here to help ya. Love You, Stu & Gerry (Tink) Jordan

What can I say about one of the men who has meant the most to me ... not just now, but all my life ... I love(d) him so much I can't really put it into words right now ... I will miss his "Hi Thayer" whenever I stepped into the house and him always telling me "You're my adopted daughter" ... Such a WONDERFUL man!!! Not just to me, but to my children, and my myriad number of cousins ... I always told him he was the "Ted Kennedy" of the "Hackenberg" and "Laskovy" clans ... He always had time for all of us no matter what!!! It's not just my loss, but a tremendous loss to all of us ...; and Aunt Lass, you are one very SPECIAL woman ... the two of you shared one of the "GREATEST LOVES" in ALL the world ... and I loved watching the two of you together ... and I actually got to experience that when I shared your "special time" in the elevator ... I can't see the computer screen anymore, so I will just end this by letting you know that I'm going to have a very hard time adjusting to this GREAT loss ... I love you so much!!!! DD

Words cannot fully express my heartfelt grief and shared loss at the passing of such a Great and wonderful Man ... and there is an eerie silence, as his voice resonating another story or telling of a wondrous humorous adventure of his life is sorrowfully no more. He touched many in both words and deeds and is an inspiration for many of us to measure ourselves. If I, in my own life, can achieve to be even half the man, husband, father, and friend that he was; then that will be my honor to him. God Bless you my Dear Grand Uncle ... and may God award you yet another set of "wings", so dutifully earned. Rest now ... knowing that your service to family, friends, and community is complete. I love You, JT
