Mike passed away at his home Wednesday, January 20, 2010. He was born June 3, 1966 in Kalamazoo the son of David and Audrey (Hendrickson) Evans. Mike was a 1984 graduate of Gobles High School. He was a master gardener, raised peacocks, pheasant and loved fishing and the outdoors. On September 6, 1986 in Allegan, Mike was united in marriage to Wendy L. Brown who survives. Also surviving are 2 children, Lacey (Samuel Clapper) Evans of Kalamazoo and Cameron Evans at home; parents, Dave and Audrey Evans of Gobles; 2 sisters, Patricia (Bill) Webb and Cathy Healy all of Paw Paw; 3 brothers, James (Cindy) Evans and Stephen Evans of Mattawan, and Mark (Tina Ramsey) Evans of Gobles; nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. Family will receive friends Sunday (1/24) 4 to 7 p.m. at the Adams Funeral Home, Paw Paw and Monday 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. where funeral services will be held Monday at 11 a.m. with Rev. Ray Brown officiating. Interment will follow in Maple Grove Cemetery, Mattawan. Memorial contributions may be directed to the family. |

Days keep going by and it seems like we are all still waiting for dad to return, as shock wears off the reality still refuses to sink in. Thankyou to everyone who has and continues to show our family love and support. Dad had the biggest heart of anyone I know, it didn't matter if you were in his life a second, or you had been around since he was a child; there was a special place in his heart for everyone he came across. He loved my Mom more than words could even begin to express, and often told me stories about when they first met, and how even if they hadn't been set up on a blind date, he would of found her, Because they were meant to be together. She was the love of his life and he would of done anything for her. He was so proud of my brother and the man that he has grown into. We have never had to question my dad's love and dedication to our family, he was our world and made it known daily that we were his. The only thing that can give our hearts peace in this horrible situation is knowing that we will all be together again someday.

Mike was my true love and best friend and I will miss him tremendously. I know he is at total PEACE and totally pain free now but that doesnt ease the pain. Mike was a great dad and he loved his kids unconditionally and there was no doubt in there minds how much he loved them.

Today I pictured God's Choir with Mike singing lead... oh how he loved to sing. When I have those moments of missing him...I think I will comfort myself with this vision. Try it Wendy, Lacey and Cam... God can use it to help the hurt. I love you all!

Words just can't express my feelings for how much I loved Mike. He and I were so close. He and shared all our health issues, since we were both suffering from much of the same things. I have plenty of memories to remember him, and I'm recalling every single one of them now and laughing, crying, rejoicing and crying some more. He was so loved and always sent the love back. I'm definitly going to miss talking to "my friend". But I'm sure when I get to Heaven, we'll find a place to sit down and talk like we used to, except neither one of us will be in pain anymore and you'll probably catch us "Dancing In Heaven". All our families love to you Wendy, Lacey and Cameron.

Mike was the best "Best Friend" anyone could have. My memories of Mike are too numerous to mention. Wendy, The day he married you was the happiest day of his life. He loved you so much. Lacey & Cam, You guys were the joy of his life, he was so proud of you two and loved you very much. Rest assure, Mike is pain-free now and singing in the best choir he's ever seen. Wendy, Cameron, and Lacey,
You are in my thoughts and prayers. Mike was a special person!! Him and I had a special connection. At time I felt like his guardian angel when he was in my care and now I feel like he will be mine. He will always be with you and your family. Rest assured we know that we will see him again! Right now I know him and Laurie are looking down and cracking jokes.
