McHUGH, Charles C. Bud
Paw Paw
Bud passed away Friday evening, February 5, 2010 at Bronson Methodist Hospital in Kalamazoo. He was born November 21, 1925 in Littleton, New Hampshire the son of the late Harry A. and Annie M. (Robertson) McHugh. Bud served in the U.S. Navy during World War II in both the European and Asiatic-Pacific Theaters. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus Council in New York and attended St. Marys Catholic Church in Paw Paw. Bud was a member of the Paw Paw Village Council for Several years and loved reading. Before his retirement he was employed the Van Buren County Friends of the Court. On July 3, 1974 in Paw Paw, Bud was united in marriage to Mary Alice Lingle who survives. Also surviving are a brother, Herbert (Marjory) McHugh of Plainwell; sister, Eleanor Roger of Paw Paw; step-children, Cheri Barber of Lawton, Stephen (Candace) Barber of Decatur; 5 step-grandchildren; 3 great step-grandchildren; 2 nieces, Denise Harrell of Paw Paw; and Patricia (Myles) Blatchley of Woodbury, MN ; nephew, Richard (Carolyn) Roger of Ladera Ranch, CA. There will be no visitation as cremation has taken place. Services will take place later in the spring. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Lung Association. Arrangements are by the Adams Funeral Home, Paw Paw.

We are so sorry for the loss of Bud. He was one of Ev's best friends. Ev often reminesces about the great times they had growing up. You are all in our prayers.

I was the student nurse who was with Charles on Thursday at Bronson. I am so sorry to hear of his passing and my deepest condolences to your family. I will never forget him, he touched my life in a very special way that day. I will remember you all in my prayers. God Bless, Cassandra VanNortwick

MaryAlice: Years ago, about 30 or so, David and I lived next door to you and Chuck in the duplex on Red Arrow Highway in Mattawan. We have thought sweetly of you both over these many years and what lovely neighbors you were. We were so sorry to hear of Chuck's death.
