Katherine passed away Thursday, May 6, 2010 at Bronson LakeView Hospital in Paw Paw. She was born August 14, 1939 in Kalamazoo the daughter of Richard and Dorothy (Sleeper) Wetmore. On September 1, 1958, in Kalamazoo, Katherine was united in marriage to Charles Holland who preceded her in death in 2008. Katherine always kept busy knitting, doing cross stitch, taking care of the home. Her home was always open to whoever happened to stop by and it was the gathering place for her childrens friends. She and Chuck and the family traveled around the country seeing sights from the east coast to the west.
Katherine is survived by her 3 children, Mary (Ken) Springer of Paw Paw, Michael Holland, also of Paw Paw, and Kenneth (Kim) Holland of Decatur; 4 grandchildren, Skyler, Alex, Cory and Cynthia; a sister, Helen Finch of Kalamazoo and a step-sister, Jackie Nguyen of Kalamazoo; many nieces and nephews.
Services for Katherine will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, May 28 at the Almena United Methodist Church, Rev. Richard Holland officiating. Family will receive friends from 10-11 a.m.
Memorial contributions may be directed to the Arthritis Foundation or to the American Diabetes Association.
