I just found out that Hubert has died. Carol, I will never forget you and Rev. Lowes and your kids. You helped my spiritual journey in a huge way. I wouldn't be the active United Methodist I am today without the two of you. I hope Rev. Lowes has met my husband, Bill, in Heaven. Bill definitely knows your names. Carol, I also grew up to be a nurse. God Bless You. Jackie Jones Lamb Kahoka United Methodist Church.

He is still not forgotten. He is the lucky one....to be with the Lord and away from the struggle of life. He enriched the lives he came in contact with.

Just Heard Today Jan 27/11 of Huberts passing and my heart goes out to you and your family and my mind goes back to the days when we were kids to-gether and you were one of my reluctant baby sitters in Peterborough. I am sure you will remember those days brings a smile to my face.Jo my wife died when she was very young and I was Mr.Mom for many years and raised four great kids.I am not sure who raised who my girls say that they raised me and are not done yet.I often think of Hubert as I go through Bethany and Cavan from time to time and He was always such a great guy and appreciated by all. Paul

Just tonight I learned of the death of Rev. Lowes. Carol, you and your husband literally helped made me the person I am today. I will NEVER forget Camp Koinonia. Rev. Lowes made a difference in ways he will never know. All of my sympathies to you, Tim, Kym, Jan and Dodie. If you care to know what the biggest difference he made in my life, feel free to email me. I loved you both very much.

Dear Friends, I read with sadness the obituary for your beloved husband/father/grandfather D. Hubert Lowes, and wanted you all to know how profoundly sorry I am to hear of his loss. When I think of how much this man and your family meant to us in the Luray and Clark County community, I cannot imagine the loss you feel. Carol, it was so nice to accidentally bump in to you and Reverend Lowes at Tim's restaurant in Kahoka years ago. I'm still at KMEM 100.5 FM in Memphis. Reverend Lowes had a TREMENDOUS impact on my life, and the lives of others. You are all in my thoughts and prayers! Rick Fischer

When Javan woke up on Tuesday morning the first thing he said was "I'm happy today. I'm happy that Gramps gets to go Home and be with the Lord. I will miss him so much but I'm sure he's excited. So I will be happy for him." So many wonderful memories. Our hearts and prayers are with you now!
