Mrs. Mary Richards, age 70, of 200 Van Wert St., Buchanan passed away Tuesday, September 21, 2004. Mrs. Richards was born in Haralson County on June 25, 1934. She was the daughter of the late Mr. Hoyt Morris and the late Mrs. Annie Harris Perry. Mrs. Richards was retired from the Arrow Shirt Company. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Travis Richards; and sisters, Sara Bush and Elizabeth Worthy.
Survivors include her husband, Curtis H. Richards of Buchanan; one daughter, Pat Chriswell of Buchanan; one son, Phil Richards of Buchanan; two sisters, Aline Worthy and Evie Maxwell both of Buchanan; one grandchild; two great grandchildren; and a number of other relatives.
Funeral services will be conducted Thursday, September 23, 2004 at 4:00 P.M. from the Buchanan United Methodist Church with Danny Hutcheson, Rev. Robby McMahan, and Rev. Mary Lou Gilbert officiating. Music will be rendered by Rev. Buddy Gentry and Dana Rampy. Interment will follow in the Buchanan City Cemetery with the following gentlemen serving as pallbearers: Zach Bush, Joe Maxwell, Adam Bush, Josh Worthy, Nathan Worthy, Brad Richards, and Lance Raburn.
Hutcheson's Memorial Chapel of Buchanan is in charge of the arrangements.
