Mrs. Jean Ruth Matheson Rawson, age 83, of Panama City, FL formerly of Buchanan passed away Thursday, December 2, 2004. Mrs. Rawson was born in Hadlock, WA on February 5, 1921. She was the daughter of the late Walter Matheson and the late Gladys Woodly Matheson. Mrs. Rawson was retired from General Motors. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Rawson. Survivors include two daughters, Judy Epling of Panama City, FL, and Mina Staehler of Menomonee Falls, WI; one brother, Wallace Matheson of Chicago, IL; eight grandchildren; twelve great grandchildren; and a number of other relatives.
Funeral services will be conducted Sunday, December 5, 2004 at 2:00 P.M. from the Graveside at the Tallapoosa East Baptist Church Cemetery with Robert Staehler officiaiting. Interment will follow in the Tallapoosa East Baptist Church Cemetery with the following gentlemen serving as pallbearers: Bill Epling, Ross Bourne, Hank Turner, and Scott Purchase.
Hutcheson’s Memorial Chapel of Buchanan is in charge of the arrangements.
