Mr. James Earl Marshall, age 80, of Buchanan passed away Tuesday, January 4, 2005. Mr. Marshall was born in Oconee County on May 13, 1924. He was the son of the late Jesse C. Marshall and the late Nina Poulnot Marshall. Mr. Marshall was a veteran of the United States Army serving during World War II and was a retired insurance agent. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Randy Marshall, and a sister, Frances Marshall.
Survivors include his wife, Marcielene Winfrey Marshall of Buchanan; three sons and two daughters-in-law, Gary K. Marshall of Buchanan, David R. and Barbara Marshall of Buchanan, and Greg L. and Connie Marshall of Bogart; one sister, Ellene Gunter of Dalton; three grandchildren, Robin Marshall of St. Simons Island, Loree Marshall of Atlanta, Russell Marshall of Pensacola, FL; and a number of other relatives.
Memorial services will be conducted Saturday, January 8, 2005 at 11:00 A.M. from Hutcheson’s Memorial Chapel with Rev. Thomas Ward officiating. In keeping with the wishes of the deceased, the body was cremated.
