Mrs. Jewell Seay Williams, age 90, of Buchanan passed away Thursday, February 10, 2005. Mrs. Williams was born in Stone Mountain on June 4, 1914. She was the daughter of the late Hampton F. Seay and the late Ally Mae Cope. Mrs. Williams was a homemaker. Besides her parents, sister, and five brothers, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert L. Williams; daughter, Avis Williams Stringer; sons, Raymond Williams and Larry Williams; and granddaughter, Pamela Stringer Wilhoit.
Survivors include three daughters, Joyce Wills of Buchanan, Anne Johnson of Buchanan, and Janice Wages of Tallapoosa: one son, Ronald F. Williams of Buchanan; twelve grandchildren; thirty two great grandchildren; and a number of nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, February 12, 2005 at 2:00 P.M. from Tallapoosa-East Baptist Church with Rev. Thomas Ward and Rev. W.A. Ivie officiating. Music will be rendered by Coyal and Peggy Agan. Interment will follow in the Tallapoosa-East Baptist Church Cemetery with the following gentlemen serving as pallbearers: Tommy Stringer, Wade Williams, Mark Wills, Scott Wages, Kurt Johnson, Richard Williams, Kent Johnson, and Scott Bardenwerper.
