Mrs. Nellie Mae Dawson Pollard, age 66, of Buchanan passed away Saturday, April 2, 2005. Mrs. Pollard was born in Haralson County on April 30, 1938. She was a retired machine operator with American Thread Company. She was preceded in death by a son, Johnny Pollard; and a brother, James Dawson.
Survivors include seven daughters and six sons-in-law, Nellie Jean Gordon of Buchanan, Sherry and Thomas Jeffers of Buchanan, Betty and Ronnie Holcombe of Alabama, Brenda and Jimmy Harper of Tallapoosa, Sandra and Ricky Truitt of Waco, Virginia and Johnny Howard of Deer Lodge, TN; and Helen and Randy Dewberry of Temple; twenty grandchildren; seventeen great grandchildren; and a number of other relatives.
Funeral services will be conducted Monday, April 4, 2005 at 11:00 A.M. from Hutcheson’s Memorial Chapel with Rev. Johnnie Carden and Mr. Danny Hutcheson officiating. Music will be rendered by Rev. Buddy Gentry. Interement will follow in the Buchanan City Cemetery.
