Mrs. Pauline Vines Gilliard, age 81, of Buchanan passed away Sunday, April 17, 2005. Mrs. Gilliard was born June 11, 1923. She was the daughter of the late John Vines and the late Alice Bentley Vines. Mrs. Gilliard was a retired licensed practical nurse. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, John Mark Anderson; granddaughter, Shari Anderson; sisters, Maurine Greenway, Thelma Gentry, and Flora Hulsey; brothers, Henry Vines, Robert Vines, and W.C. Vines, and three infant brothers.
Survivors include one son and daughter-in-law, Lawrence and Diane Anderson of Carrollton; one granddaughter, Shelley Anderson of Carrollton; three sisters and one brother-in-law, Faye Crawford of Cedartown, Mary Greenway of Cedartown, and Jeanette and Chuck Callahan of Buchanan; two brothers and three sisters-in-law, Frank and Betty Vines of Buchanan, Howard Vines of Felton, Lizzie Mae Vines of Buchanan, and Shirley Vines of Cedartown; and a number of nieces, nephews, cousins, and great nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday, April 19, 2005 at 2:00 P.M. from the New Canaan Baptist Church with Rev. Billy Vines and Rev. Randy Vines officiating. Music will be rendered by The Vines Family Singers. Interment will follow in the New Canaan Baptist Church Cemetery with the following gentlemen serving as pallbearers: Timothy Crawford, Joey Crawford, lee Thomas, Chris Vines, Benny Vines, Bradley Vines, Eddy Greenway, and Keith Vines.
Hutcheson’s Memorial Chapel of Buchanan is in charge of the arrangements.
