Mrs. Ruby Ayers Heath, age 93, of 904 Corinth-Five Points Rd., Buchanan passed away Friday, October 21, 2005. Mrs. Heath was born in Haralson County on June 22, 1912. She was the daughter of the late Roderick Reuben Ayers and the late Rhoda Jane Fincher Ayers. Mrs. Heath was retired from The Arrow Company. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Joe Heath; two sons, Sammy Heath and Johnny Heath; and one daughter, Marge Heath.
Survivors include one daughter, Mary Ann Heath of Buchanan; one Sister, Vera Ayers Heath of Buchanan; one grandson, Christopher Joe Heath; two sisters-in-law, Ruth Wyatt of Atlanta and Blanche Heath of Carrollton; and a number of other relatives.
Funeral services will be conducted Sunday, October 23, 2005 at 3:00 P.M. from the Corinth Baptist Church with Rev. Wendell Rush and Rev. Horace Wilson officiating. Music will be rendered by the Corinth Baptist Church Choir. The remains will for in state at the Church from 2:00 until the funeral hour. Interment will follow in the Corinth Baptist Church Cemetery with the following gentlemen serving as pallbearers: Larry Allen, Steven Smith, Carey Kierbow, Billy McAdams, Greg Redding, Ralph White, and Bobby Whitton. Serving as honorary pallbearers: Willard Whitton, Bud Long, Gerald Redding, Cliett Hitchcock, Johnny Dearing, Herbert Whitton, Charles Heath, Bobby Heath, Max Wade, Forest Reynolds, Gary Vaughn, Ralph Newkirk, and Max Carroll.
