Mr. Terry Wayne Bentley, age 56, of 108 Mormon Church Rd., Buchanan passed away Monday, October 2, 2006. Mr. Bentley was born in Haralson County on February 7, 1950. He was the son of the late Paul Bentley and the late Gaynell Wells Bentley. Mr. Bentley was the owner and operator or Terry’s Market in Buchanan. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Michael Bentley and by his father-in-law, Charlie Hopkins.
Survivors include his wife, Carolyn Hopkins Bentley of Buchanan; two daughters and sons-in-law, Tabitha and Edward Pollard of Buchanan and Christie and Clay Bell of Buchanan; three brothers and one sister-in-law, Jimmy Bentley of Buchanan, Gerald “Doc” Bentley of Buchanan and B.L. and Debbie Bentley of Buchanan; mother-in-law, Edith Hopkins of Cedartown, three grandchildren; and a number of other relatives.
Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday, October 4, 2006 at 11:00 A.M. from the Tallapoosa East Baptist Church with Dr. Thomas Ward and Mr. Richard Brannon officiating. Interment will follow in the Tallapoosa East Baptist Church Cemetery with the following gentlemen serving as pallbearers: Bo Cook, John Dobbs, John Hefner, Max Smith, Dwight Singleton, Melvin Pollard, John Barrentine, Shane Worthy, Curtis Pope, Johnny Pope and Commodore Philpot.
Hutcheson’s Memorial Chapel of Buchanan is in charge of the arrangements.
