Mr. John Wells, age 90, of 7343 Hwy. 27, Felton passed away Saturday, December 2, 2006. Mr. Wells was born in Haralson County on September 5, 1916. He was the son of the late George Wells and the late Selma Wright Wells. Mr. Wells was retired from Rome Plow Company. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Jewell Cheatwood Wells.
Survivors include three sons, Tommy Wells of San Diego, CA, David Wells of Buchanan and Larry Wells of Cedartown; one sister, Velma Paxton of Felton; one brother, A.G. Wells of Chattanooga, TN; five grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; and a number of other relatives.
Funeral services will be conducted Monday, December 4, 2006 at 2:00 P.M. from Hutcheson’s Memorial Chapel with Danny Hutcheson and Richard Brannon officiating. Music will be rendered by Rev. Buddy Gentry. Interment will follow in the Polk Memory Gardens in Cedartown with the following gentlemen serving as pallbearers: Brian Wells, Steve Wells, Andy Kerr, Jeff Dingler, Derek Wells and James Paxton.
Hutcheson’s Memorial Chapel of Buchanan is in charge of the arrangements.
