Richard M. Seagraves, 52, of Oak Hill (Centerpoint Community), passed away at his residence on Friday, Nov. 14, 2008.

He was born June 6, 1956, in Oak Hill, son of Annabelle Terry Seagraves of Oak Hill, and the late Flemon Seagraves Jr.

Richard was a retired truck driver, promoter of Vinton Raceway, president of the French City Camping Club, and a former member of Our Gang CB Club, where he was known by his handle Buckeye Moose.

He is survived by his wife, Rose Gore Seagraves; three children, Anna (Eddie) Willis, Richard Martin Seagraves Jr., and James Flemon Seagraves all of Oak Hill; a step-grandson, Eddie Willis II of Racine; and three brothers and one sister, Bryan (Christine) Seagraves of Vinton, Tim (Angie) Seagraves of Rio Grande, Jeff (Sherry) Seagraves of Oak Hill, and Rita (Ricky) Elkins of Pikeville, Ky.

Services will be 1 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 19, 2008, in the McCoy-Moore Funeral Home at Vinton, with Pastor Charles Seagraves officiating. Burial will follow in the Centerpoint Cemetery, near Oak Hill. Friends may call at the funeral home from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 18, 2008.

In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be given to the Richard M. Seagraves Memorial Fund, P.O. Box 148, Vinton, Ohio 45686.
