Eulalah Bennett, 98, of Vinton, passed away at her residence with her family at her bedside. She was born May 20, 1910, in Arnoldsburg, W.Va., daughter of the late Manderville and Dora Parsons. She was a homemaker who was preceded in death by her husband, Harry Bradford Bennett Sr., on Sept. 6, 1966. In addition, she was a member of the Trinity United Methodist Church at Porter and the Vinton United Methodist Sunshine Class. Four sons and four daughters survive: Arlen (Ellen) Owens of Bidwell, Larry (Connie) Bennett of Grove City, Harry B. (Martha) Bennett Jr., Earl E. (Judy) Bennett, Betty Eberhard and Anna Belle Tomlinson, all of Vinton, Sue (Ed) Taff of Mishawaka, Ind., and Deborah Ellen (Tom) Skinner of Eno, Ohio. Also surviving are 23 grandchildren and 52 great-grandchildren: Arlen Ray Owens, and children, Nick and Katie; David (Vicki) Owens, and daughter, Kelsey; T.J. (Ellen) Owens, and sons, Chris, Ben and Aaron; John (Jeana) Owens, and son, Xavier; John (Barb) Eberhard, and children, Amber and Cody; Don (Debbie) Eberhard, and children, Jamie, Justin, and Jenetta; Chuck (Patty) Eberhard, and children, Corey, Sarah and Luke; Rene (Dave) Williams, and son, Grant; Kirsten (Rick) Stillings, and daughters, Sophia and Ella; Jerry Tomlinson, and sons, Jeremy, Jordan and Jesse; Kevin (Kathy) Tomlinson, and sons, Adam, Kolton and Klinton; Lori Tomlinson, and daughter, Lailah; Michael (Johnna) Taff, and children, Ciara, Jacob and Emma Laila; Mikki (Eric) Seese and children, Marissa, James, and twins Matty and Joey; Jason (Deena) Bennett, and children, Samuel and Anna; Bradly (Kristi) Bennett, and sons, Jared and Braden; Robert (Natalie) Bennett, and children, Megan, Josh, Brennen and Emma; J.W. (Miranda) Bennett and children, Alyssa, Bailey and Jacob; Earl Bennett Jr. and Denna Ellis, and sons, Zack, A.J. and Caleb; Josh Bennett, and daughter, Jaelynn; Cel (Scott) Morgan, and children, Derek, Mackenzie and Olivia; Tommie Grant, and sons, Nathan and Quinton; and Jennifer Ann Skinner. She is also survived by one brother and one sister, Gorden (Roberta) Parsons and Ruth Chenoweth, of Parkersburg, W.Va. In addition to her husband, Harry, she was preceded in death by three grandchildren, J.H. Taff, Teresa Lynn Eberhard and Gordon Wyatt Owens; three brothers, Robert Parsons, Millard Parsons and Wilbur Parsons; and two sisters, Ruby Crawford and Marie Parsons. Services will be 11 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 13, 2008, in the Trinity United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Sherron Courneen officiating, and the Revs. Jack Berry and Chester Hess assisting. Burial will be in the Vinton Memorial Park. Friends may call at the McCoy-Moore Funeral Home in Vinton on Friday, Dec. 12, 2008, from 4 to 7 p.m.

My thoughts and prayers go out to the entire bennett family. I have been truly blessed to be a part of your family for so many years.Grandma was one of the most amazing women ive met and she loved all of her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren and we are all better people because she loved us...we love and miss you Carolyn, Corey, Sarah and Lucas

I am a good friend of Arlo's and I was so sorry to hear of his grandmother's passing. He has talked to me about her many times and I felt like I knew her. Please accept my condolences. I will keep you, her family, in my thoughts and prayers.
