Zigmund Thomashunis, 66, Vinton, OH., passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, February 22, 2009. He was born January 24, 1945, in Exeter, PA.
He was a U.S. Army Veteran who had served twenty-one years during which time he had served as a Medic in Vietnam as well as in other health care service areas.
He married Melonie Smith on Dec. 23, 1998, in Brooksville, FL., and she survives. Also surviving are seven children:

Ruthanne Sponsa, Mike Thomashunis, Bruce Thomashunis, Chris Thomashunis, Matthew Thomashunis, and Cassie Thomashunis all of FL.
Two step-children, Tami Mann, WV and Kirk Blythe, VA.
Eight Grandchildren, one brother, Chuck Thomashunis, PA;
one sister, Anne Thomashunis, PA and a special family member, Marianne.
Funeral Services will be held 1:00 PM., Friday, in the McCoy-Moore Funeral Home, Vinton. Full Military Rites will be conducted by the Vinton American Legion Post 161. Cremation will follow.
