Emily G. (Morgan) Mitchell, 96, of Plain City Oh, passed away quietly at the Convalarium at Indian Run Dublin Nov. 15, 2009. She was a member of the French City Baptist Church near Gallipolis, and also attended Cornerstone C.C.C.U. Church in Plain City. She was born July 6, 1913, in Smyth County Va. and was a long time resident of Gallia County Ohio. Preceded in death by husband of 44 years, David R Mitchell; Parents Reuben and Etta Morgan; Sisters Annie Sheets, Sally Shupe and Mary Morgan; and Brothers Oscar Charles Morgan. She is survived by two sons Mike Mitchell, Hilliard, Oh and Dana (Dianna) Mitchell, Plain City, Oh.; Grandchildren Tera (Todd) Hawes, Travis Mitchell, Troy Mitchell and Dondi Hatcher. Great Grandchildren Mitchell and Zachary Hatcher; Aaron and Mitchell Hawes.

Funeral Services will be held 11:00 AM., Saturday, 11/21/2009, in the McCoy-Moore Funeral Home, 208 Main St., Vinton, OH., with Pastor Phil Conrad officiating. Burial will be in Vinton Memorial Park. Visitation at the Funeral Home on Friday, 6:00 - 8:00 PM.

I have not seen Emily for a long time. But I remember her when I was a little girl and she would come and visit my grandma Russell. And they would talk and talk and talk for hours. Emily was always a nice. She will be sadly missed.

Mike--I am so sorry to hear about your mothers passing.It seems a lifetime since Porter and the good times we had. Mothers were always there for us and we never though we would have to do with out them. You will she her again in the Lords House. Give Dana my regrets and may you let the Lord confert you in your hurting. Your freind Bob Schaeffing

Dear,MIKE,DANA,Dianna & Childern So sorry to hear of the passing of your mother and grandmother and my dear Aunt. I will miss calling her. She had answers for me that no one else had. Forty-Seven years ago ANNA I stoped at her and Uncle David's house we told tham we were getting married,but didn't know when.[Iwas home on leave from the navy]She said here is the phone call NOBLE we did and got married that night.I have fond memories of walking through the woods to her house and picking wild flowers for her. I will greatly miss her. With all our LOVE, JIM/ANNA
