Margaret Thomason Lookado, 96, passed away peacefully on December 17, 2009 with family in Cincinnati, Ohio. Preceeded in death by parents, Fabous Estel Thomason and Nancy (Counts) Thomason; husband, Harold Vaughn Lookado Sr.; son Harold Vaughn Lookado Jr.; and grandson Harold Vaughn Lookado III. Survived by daughter Betty (Don) Taylor of Cincinnati, Ohio and daughter JoAn Pitchford of Austin, Texas; Grandchildren Cathy Black, Jack Lookado, Bill Joe Lookado, Craig Taylor, William (Bill) Lookado, Terry Pitchford, Bruce Taylor, Susan Lookado, and Shara Alexander; 20 great-grandchildren and numerous great-great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
One of 7 children, Margaret was the last living of her siblings. Margaret married Harold Lookado (the love of her life) and set up home in Gallia County. She enjoyed raising her 3 children, crochet, knitting, gardening and visiting with her large loving family and friends. Margaret attended Porter United Methodist Church for many years. After Harold died in 1982, she found solace knowing they would be reunited one day.
In honor of her requests, a Graveside Service at the Rife Cemetery, Gallipolis, Ohio (Bulaville) will be announced at a later date (late Spring 2010). Margaret is already greatly missed.
