Dear Logan, Garret and family. Your mother and I kept in contact through company email and once in a while a chat on the phone. Man, you were her life and she beemed when she spoke of you both. I couldn't belive how much time had passed when your Mom told me Logan you were 16, I was floored, where has the time gone. And you little Garett not far behind your brother. I will forever treasure all our conversations and friendship in my heart. As Jim Tilton said, Sue will always be part of the Big Rock Family. Hope you had a safe journey home, Snapper (my knick name for her)I will miss you and love you forever. Your friend, (Spunky, Sue's knickname for me). Peace be with you all.

Dear Garrett & Logan,
We are so sad to hear of your mom's passing. I met your mom first at Big Rock where my company took care of special occasions there and then we went to Community Reformed Church in Charlevoix with her and both of you. She had an excellent sense of humor and was one of the kindest people I have met ever.

Dear Garret & Logan: We were so saddened to hear of the loss of your mother. We first met Susan years ago when Garrett started playing soccer with Ryan. What a wonderful person she was! She had such a warm and friendly personality and we always looked forward to talking to her whenever we would see her. We will really miss seeing her at the soccer fields and school functions. Garrett & Logan, we are sure that she will always be watching over you and will always be proud of you. Take care of yourselves. Our deepest sympathy to you and your entire family. Sue was a very good friend and co-worker of mine at Big Rock. I haven't seen her several years nor been able to keep up with her life. I was astonished and saddened to hear of her death. My condolences to each family member, especially her dear sons who she loved so much and was always so proud of. Her sons were the joy of her life and they were always first.....always. My prayers and sorrow are joined to your own. God bless you.

Dear Logan and Garrett,
I am so sorry about your mom. She was a wonderful person and went through a lot to have you boys. She loved you so much. Continue to live your lives in a way that would make your mom proud. I will always remember your mom's laugh- it was very distinctive. I was so sad that you had to move from Charlevoix, but your mom's job situation made it necessary. The best thing about the move was that you were close to your extended family. I will never forget being your Kindergarten teacher, Logan. You were a great kid then, and I'm sure that you are now. My thoughts and prayers are with you. Love, Diane Priess

Dear Logan,Garrett, Randi, Janet, Alice and Dan,
Words cannot express the sadness I feel at your loss. Having lived together in the same neighborhood for many years and staying in touch since we both left Hart,I know a truly wonderful person has left all of our lives. We shared some great times together. Susan was a warm, gentle, caring person who knew what she wanted in life and went for it. Logan and Garrett, your mom will always be with you in your hearts. I know she loved being a mom to you boys! The greates honor you can give to her is to be the kind, caring and trusing person that she was, and we will all be very proud of you no matter where your path in life leads you.
Randi and Janet, you have lost a beautiful link in your family chain but stay strong for each other and always be there for each other. No ties are more precious than family ties.
All of you have my deepest sympathy and prayers.
Love,
Anne Turnquist

Garrett, Logan, and family. So sorry to hear of your loss. I first met Susan, Logan, when you came to Paw Paw Middle School. I found her to be a caring and loving mother. She recently called me prior to school getting out to check in on Garrett and to tell me of her illness. Her thoughts surrounded her children. Be strong, and do well guys -- to make your mom proud, and mostly, for yourselves. She will be missed. Cheryl Anderson PPMS Guidance Counselor

There are but a few times in ones life you truly cross paths with an angel. Sue was nothing short of an awesome person I feel blessed to have had the pleasure to known. Garrett and Logan know she loved you two more than I can describe. I will miss her greatly and I regret that I'll be out of town this Sat. I will work hard to develop the character and emulate her work ethic. She is truly an inspiring soul. I know her faith was strong and I look forward to seeing her again. Her soft strenght will always give me a goal to strive for.

Sue was a fine person and a good friend. Those of us who worked with her will remember that she always seemed to care more for us than she did herself. Janice and I are saddened at her passing but know she sings with the angels and will watch over her family as only an angel can.
