Ms. Childress will always be remembered in my heart as being a wonderful and fun kindergarten teacher at Oakwood Elementary School. She gave me some fond memories of kindergarten. We had a large class and she always seemed to be cheerful. She had a real love for her students. Down through the years, I would bump into Ms. Childress from time to time and she was thrilled to hear that I was studying to become a teacher. She made a difference in the lives of many children and she will be missed. Thanks for those everyday gifts of love. Cherish those sweet memories. Casting all your cares upon Him for He careth for you.
I Peter 5:7 Keeping you in our thoughts and prayers.

Such a wonderful neighbor and friend to us! We miss her colorful and interesting stories of Spain, her life and of teaching. While she did not know us at the end, we will always remember her laugh, her kindness to us and so many days of chatting on the porch or at her dining room table. For a long time after she moved from the condo, we would look for and miss her sitting daily in her picture window as she sorted her mail. We are so glad to have been a part of her life.
