I have known Ruthie since I was in fourth grade, her daughter Jean and I went to school together. Ruth was my Mother's girlfriend, my Mom and Dad stood up for her and Bruce. She became close to us after Bruce passed away three years before my Mom. My husband Bob and I called her our second Mom. We visited her in Paw Paw, & she would stay with us in Chicago but we moved away to Arkansas six years ago and kept in touch by phone. We visited her at least three times since we moved, the last time was in September. We played Skippo & Bob played ball with some of the folks at Bronson. She was always up, never complained, like she often said "who would listen anyway". I miss her very much but know she is playing cards with family and friends and singing "Under the Boardwalk" in a better place. With much love Phyllis and Bob

Oh My Darling, remember when I was little and called you my Darling Grandmother, how we would sing & dance for hours. I will so miss not hearing your sweet voice on the other end of the phone telling me " I'll call you next and I'll be careful what I call ya." All your years of service to your community and your bright smile will be forever missed. No more pain Grandma, you can now walk till you hearts content! Sweet Dreams my Darling Grandmother until we meet again & I can say, Grandma shall we Dance! With Love and Much Sorrow! Robyn.

Ruthie was a dear, dear friend of ours. She was our adoptive grandma to our kids, Kyle, Meghan and Elizabeth. Jim met Ruthie thru her husband, Bruce, while working at Furness Farms. They became good friends. When Bruce passed away Jim invited Ruthie over for Christmas Eve Mass and dinner afterwards. This became our tradition until Jim and I were transferred to the Atlanta, GA area. Ruthie attended our kids, birthdays, sporting events, special school events. My family came to know and love Ruthie too as she attended many family events with us. She was a great joy to us, and truly blessed our lives. She saw the beauty in every day. She was such a positive person, and set a great example for all of us. We are so fortunate that she was a part of our lives, and that we have a part of her heart in each of us. We will truly miss her. We love you, Ruthie.

Ruthie was my husband's mother's roommate at the Nursing Home in Lawton a couple of years ago and she was such a sweet sweet lady. Always so positive and so good to Joan Clift. I was so sad to hear of her passing. What a wonderful lady. Sincere sympathy to family and friends
