Marjorie Horsley

1943-2015

Marjorie Horsley, 72, of Big Leatherwood passed away September 25, 2015 at Hospice Care Center in Ashland, Kentucky.

Mrs. Horsley was born June 22, 1943 in Greenup, Kentucky a daughter of the late Wilburn Hall and Beatrice Greene Warnock.

Marjorie was a homemaker for many years taking care of Monroe, her children, grandchildren, and other members of her family. In later years she was a caregiver for the elderly. Loving them and tending to their needs came natural to her and taking care of others was all she knew, always putting herself last.

At the age of 18 she found the true meaning of happiness and the source of her strength. Her heavenly Father. She was a faithful servant to him for 54 years and a member of the Church of Christ at Carter City. She considered all the members there her family. She loved them all.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by

1 sister Gaynell Horsley

1 daughter Peggy Lynn Baldridge

1 chosen son Pauley Barker

She is survived by her husband of 56 years Monroe Horsley and as she told the doctors and nurses he was her one true love.

1 daughter Doretha and Mike Bush of Big Lost Creek

1 sister Juanita and Paul Madden of Big Leatherwood

4 grandchildren Myka and Matt Grayson of Rt. 7

Shawna and Steve McCormick

Steven Campbell of Big Leatherwood

Whitney Campbell of Big Leatherwood

3 Great-grandchildren Elissa McCormick, Shelby McCormick, and Jillian Campbell.

A graveside service will be held at 2:00 pm on Sunday September 27, 2015 at Grizzle Cemetery, Leatherwood Road, Garrison, Kentucky by Bro. Lonzo Horsley and Bro. Scott Roberts.

Visitation will be from 6:00-9:00 pm on Saturday September 26, 2015 at Reed Funeral Home in Greenup, Kentucky.
