Bonnie Lou Pruitt, 74, of Flatwoods, died peacefully, Saturday, July 9, 2016 at the Community Hospice Care Center.
She was born May 25, 1942, in Boyd County, KY, to the late Charles Cecil Daniels and Anna Elizabeth Fields Daniels. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband, Orville Edward “Puny” “Tank” Pruitt in 2002; a brother, Charles Daniels; and sister, Anna Louise Short.
Bonnie was of the Baptist faith. She was a graduate of Boyd County High School, where she was a cheerleader; she loved to travel, and was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She retired from King’s Daughters Medical Center after many years of service.
Those left to cherish her memory include a son, Phillip (Tammy) Pruitt of Catlettsburg; daughter, Robin (William) Mager of Columbus, OH; grandchildren, Kayla Ash, Justin Pruitt, Joshua (Devan) Hicks and Shelby Pruitt (Brad) Pettit; great grandchildren, Charity Miller, Landen Hicks and Paislee Pettit.
Funeral services will be held 11a.m. Wednesday, July 13, 2016, at Steen Funeral Home 13th Street Chapel with Pastor Keith Crum officiating. Burial will follow in Ashland Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, July 12, 2016, at the funeral home.
