Jerry Michael Young, 64, of Richmond, Texas, passed away Friday, Nov. 25, 2016, at his residence. He was born July 7, 1952, in Ashland, a son of the late Ralph Young Sr. and Emma Jean Young Caudill. He was also preceded in death by his stepfather, Eddie Caudill; and a brother, Ralph Young Jr. Jerry was a member of Lakewood Church in Houston and was always available to help others in need. He enjoyed gardening, cooking, hunting, fishing, fantasy football and keeping in touch with friends and family on facebook. He was a U.S. Navy veteran and retired after 25 years of service as operations manager from Clear Channel Outdoor. Those left to cherish his memory include his wife, Karen Young; a son, Jason Michael Young and his wife, Roxy; daughters Caitlin Mary Young and Megan Elizabeth Young; a brother, Jack Young and his wife, Patty; a sister-in-law, Stella Young; and a host of loving nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends. Funeral services will be at noon Friday, Dec. 2, 2016, at Steen Funeral Home-13th Street Chapel in Ashland with Kevin Witt officiating. Burial will be in Kentucky Veterans Cemetery North East in Greenup County where military rites will be provided by the U.S. Navy and American Legion Kenova Post 93.
