Lou Veinia Mae Young Bell “Beanie” 82, of Ashland, KY, went to Eternal Rest on January 8, 2017, at the Community Hospice Care Center. She was born June 18, 1934, in Ashland, to the late Ewell H. Young, Sr. and Charlotte Searight. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Bell; sons, Juan Douglas Young and Dwight Kendall Bell; brother, Ewell H. Young, Jr; and sister, Anna Louise Mays. At an early age she united with New Hope Missionary Baptist Church. She was a member of the Chancellor Choir until her health declined. She graduated from Booker T. Washington High School and Ashland Community College School of Nursing and Phlebotomy. She retired from Cabell Huntington Hospital where she was a Licensed Practical Nurse. Those left to cherish her memory include a son, Terrence Dean Bell; daughter, Ava Kenya Bell – Clayton (James) of Ashland; sisters, Clara Virginia Wright, Avanelle White (Clarence) both of Enterprise, AL; grandchildren, Paulette and Phillip Clayton of Ashland, Aisha Barley (Jay) of Oklahoma, Micah and Josiah Rinehert of Dayton, OH, Janelle Coleman of Hampton, VA, and Shayla Cuffie of Georgia. One Great Grandson GiGi’s Boy, Titus Kennedy Clayton of Ashland; one very special son, Timothy Craig Beach (Ann) of Indiana; other adopted children, Dr. Stacey Dixon, Glenda Jackson, Marsha Underwood, Georgetta Ramsey Mills, Stephanie Asberry, Virginia Martin, Debbie Fish, Greg Smith; adopted sisters, Betty Brown, Bernice Henry, Harriet Ramsey and her New Hope Missionary Baptist Church Family; a host of nieces, nephews, Cousins and Friends. She walked her last mile of the way. She is now resting in the arms of our Heavenly Father. Her Motto was “If I have helped somebody then my living has not been in vain”. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Friday, at New Hope Baptist Church with Reverend Stanley McDonald Officiating. Burial will follow at Golden Oaks Memorial Gardens.
