Phyllis Mullins Cole, 95, of Ashland, peacefully passed away Sunday, Aug. 27, 2017, at her residence.
She was born Dec. 15, 1921, in Ashland, a daughter of the late Lonnie and Bessie Robinson Mullins.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Wayne Denver Cole; a son, Floyd Edward Cole; a daughter, Drema Gail Cole; three brothers, Royce, Paul and Ralph Mullins; and two sisters, Wanda Falcone and Jackie Mullins.
Phyllis attended Hoods Creek United Baptist Church and 39th Street Baptist Church. She was a loving and devoted homemaker and will be deeply missed.
She is survived by two sons, Wayne Darrel Cole and wife Dottie of Ashland and Denver Allen Cole of Lexington; three daughters, Linda Short of Wurtland, Sally Cole of Ashland, Judith Nichols and husband Denver of Ashland and Virginia Chamberland and husband Charles of Cedar Rapids, Iowa; nine grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; and 20 great-great-grandchildren.
A graveside service will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 30, 2017, at Highland Memorial Gardens Mausoleum Chapel with Jerry Brewer officiating.
Visitation will be from 11:30 a.m to 12:30 p.m. Wednesday at Steen Funeral Home Central Avenue Chapel.
