Ronald Gene Shandy Click for Condolences      Printable Version 1957 - 2017 A memorial service for Ronald Gene Shandy, 60, of Silsbee will be 10:00 am Thursday, September 28, 2017 at Farmer Funeral Home. Mr. Shandy passed away September 24, 2017 at his residence. Ronald was born in Pine Bluff, AR, and had lived in Silsbee for the past 18 years. He worked many years as an ironworker and an estimator coordinator. Mr. Shandy proudly served his country in the United States Army. He is preceded in death by his parents Edington and Emma Sue Spears Shandy. Left behind to cherish his memories are his wife Kathy Shandy of Silsbee; sons Brandon Shandy of Anahuac and Kelby Shandy of Baytown; daughters Jamie Dadia of Manassas, VA, Somer Givens of Auburn, AL, Ciara Shandy of Houston, and Chloe Tanton of Vidor; brother Edward Shandy of Redfield, AR; sister Marilyn Cook of Star City, AR; fifteen grandchildren and many friends. Ronald will be missed by all who knew and loved him.

I have known Ronnie since 1977. I married his first cousin Jeff Fleetwood in June 1978. He was always laughing and joking around. He enjoyed making people laugh. He was a good man with a big heart. My condolences for the Shandy, Spears family. My thoughts and prayers are with you.
