1950 - 2021
Kathy Kay (Harris) Christian went home to be with the Lord and her family on September 23, 2021, at Kings Daughters Medical Center. Kathy was the baby of nine children and was born July 27, 1950, in Thacker WV to the late Joe and Grace (Carroll) Harris. Kathy was a Registered Nurse and a Director of Nursing prior to retiring. Kathy was a very loving and giving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, wife, sister, and aunt who was loved by many. Kathy was a Christian and attended the Apostolic Life Cathedral. Kathy loved to talk about the love of God and loved to study the Word of God. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by former husbands David Christian and the father of her children Lewis Ford. She is also preceded in death by five brothers, Kenneth Harris, Angelee Harris, Jack Harris, Jerry Ron Harris, and Bruce Randall Harris; and Three sisters, Freida Ann Ward, Thelma Jean Pierce, and Phyllis June May. Kathy is survived by her three loving sons, Lewis David Ford of Huntington WV., Marvin Lee (Denise) Ford of Stuart Va., William Joseph (Aoibheall) Ford of Lexington Ky; her great granddaughter who lived with her Kritina Dawn Ford; a very special friend Roger Floyd; 7 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews who loved her dearly. Funeral Service will be held at 7 P.M. Wednesday, September 29, 2021, at Apostolic Life Cathedral with Bishop Harper officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the church. Private family burial will be held at Golden Oaks Cemetery in Ashland, KY. Hall Funeral Home and Crematory, Proctorville, OH, is assisting the family with arrangements.
