Tanner Reed Black, 11, of Proctorville, Ohio passed away Wednesday, September 29, 2021 in Cabell Huntington Hospital, Huntington, WV after a 11 year battle with LGS and has finished his journey. He was born February 19, 2010 in Huntington, WV son of Tony, II “Tee” and Heather Main Black. In addition to his parents, he is survived by two brothers, Austin Tyler Main and Tony “Trey” Black, III; maternal grandparents, Don and Linda Main of South Point, Ohio, and Janice Mains of Huntington, WV; paternal great grandmother, Wanda Hayes of Proctorville, Ohio; uncles and aunts, Jay Main, Josh (Amber) Hall, Adam (Maggie) Hall, Becky (Luke) Justice, Danielle Black, April Black, and Wanda (Cody) Graham; numerous cousins; and huge extended Fairland family. Tanner was preceded in death, by maternal great grandparents, Ray and Aileen Hughes, Shirley Mains, Ralph and Sharon Mains; paternal great grandparents Woodrow and Alma Workman, and Chester Black; and paternal grandparents, Tony Black and Cathy Zirkle. Tanner was a sixth grade student at open door school. Funeral service will be conducted 11 a.m. Saturday, October 2, 2021 at Hall Funeral Home and Crematory, Proctorville, Ohio with Pastor Jason Morris officiating. Burial will follow in Miller Memorial Gardens, Miller, Ohio. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
