![Gary Wayne Strobel](obit_pics/Strobel.jpg) Gary Wayne SteetHawk Strobel 67 of Louisa, Kentucky passed away Saturday September 13, 2008 at his home.
Gary was born September 10, 1941 in Evansville, Indiana, the son of the late Walter Henry and Lorene Dunn Strobel. He was a retired electrical foreman at Martiki, a former Paintsville City Policeman, and radio disc jockey at WSAQ in Louisa.
Survivors include four daughters, Valeria Stone of Clay County, Kentucky, Dawn Strobel of Western Kentucky, Teressa (David) Vance of Louisa, Kentucky, Kelli Henderson of Panama City, Florida, four sons DeWayne (Crystal) Strobel of Nashville, Tennesse, Tim and Fiancé Lorrie of Paintsville, Kentucky, Chris Bubba Strobel, and Matthew Strobel of Louisa, Kentucky; a sister Marcella (Kay) Clark of Manitou, Kentucky, 8 grandchildren
Funeral services will be conducted by Rev. Rick May on Wednesday September 17th at 1:00 pm at the Wilson Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the Highland Memorial Park at Staffordsville, Ky. Friends may call after 6:00 pm Tuesday at the Wilson Funeral Home.

Pepaw, I loved you with all my heart. I miss you so much. I didn't just lose a wonderful pepaw, I lost a best friend, I lost my hero. You could always make me laugh. It saddened me when i found out that Gary had passed away, i had saw him the day before when he came by my work and as usual told us how to do our jobs. He was truly one in a million and he will be missed by myself and my co workers. God Bless Streethawk!!
