William Robert “Obe” Lucas, 72, of Rush went to be with the Lord September 30 at Our Lady of Bellefonte Hospital.

He was born January 3, 1933, a son of the late Frank and Mary Burton Lucas. He was retired from C & O Railroad Raceland car shop and a member of the Faith Free Will Baptist Church of Rush.

In addition to his parents he was preceded by two sisters, Louise “Dollie” Campbell and Brenda Lucas; and a brother Johnny Ray Lucas.

He is survived by his wife of 53 years:

One daughter and son in law:

Three sons and daughter in laws:

Funeral services will be conducted Monday 2:00 p.m. at the Malone Funeral Home by the minister Mickey King and Ralph Hester. Burial will be in the Fannin Family Cemetery. Friends may call Sunday from 6-9 and after 9:00 a.m. Monday. Condolences may be sent to the family at www.timeformemory.com/malone.
