Ronald Dean Adkins, age 46, of Rush, KY, passed away Sunday, October 16th, 2005 at St. Mary’s Medical Center in Huntington, WV.

He was born September 22nd, 1959 at Ashland, KY a son of Clifford Ray Adkins of Bellefonte, KY and the late June Kees Adkins.

He was a truck driver, a member of the Faith Freewill Baptist Church and IHRA, an avid outdoorsman and a race car owner and driver.

Roger Dale Adkins of Ashland, KY

Russell Dwane Adkins of Westwood, KY

2 sisters:

Karen Sue Sizemore of Ironton, OH

Janet Ann Whitt of Franklin Furnace, OH

1 granddaughter:

Haleigh Brooke Adkins

and a host of family and friends who mourn his passing.

He was a loving husband, father, son, brother and papaw to Haleigh.

Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday, October 19th, 2005 at 2:00pm at the Faith Freewill Baptist Church with Ralph Hester and Mickey King, ministers. Burial will be in the East Carter County Memory Gardens.

Visitation will be held Tuesday evening, October 18th, from 6-9pm at the Malone Funeral Home and Wednesday after 12:00 noon at the church.

In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the Faith Freewill Baptist Church 5592 Stinson Rd. Rush, KY 41168.

I am very sorry about the accident that I just heard about with Ron. I worked with him at JRB trucking. My dad's mother was a Adkins, My mom's mother was a Sizemore and dads' family had Whitt.
