Belva will be missed very much. She never changed over all the years we knew her. She represented true holiness in Christians. There is no doubt she is enjoying the beauties of Heaven with Brother Artis even now. You are all in our thoughts and prayers. God bless you and comfort you in your sorrow.

I have known your mother for many years and she was a wonderful christian lady who looked out for my Aunt Ethel Simmons. She had a caring and generous spirit and I have no doubt that she is singing with the angels and my Aunt Ethel. I am so sorry for your loss and my thoughts and prayers are with you all.

I was a student at Hitchens Elementary in the 80s-Graduated 1985. I remember both Mr. and Mrs. Artis fondly. They were wonderful people and did so much beyond what their job required. They were a wonderful testimony for the Lord in the way they lived their lives. I have no doubt they were responsible for planting seeds that lead many student and probably teachers as well to Christ. We should all be such an example. I have no doubt both are in the greatest of mansions in heaven. My prayers are with you and your family in this time of loss.
