Carolyn Mae Nipper Byrd, age 74, of Olive Hill, KY, passed away on Tuesday, February 14th, 2006 in Kings Daughters Medical Center.

She was born December 25th, 1931 at Morgan County, KY, a daughter of the late Holly B. and Maude Peyton Nipper.

She was formerly employed at Cowdens Sewing Factory and was a member of the Fairview Missionary Baptist Church.

Preceding her in death was a son, Donald Eugene Byrd.

Her survivors include:

John B. Byrd of Olive Hill, KY

1 daughter:

Tyannia Brown of Grayson, KY

3 sons:

Jerry (and Jonda) Byrd of Cincinnati, OH

Johnny (and Ruthie) Byrd

Paul (and Laura) Byrd all of Olive Hill, KY

1 sister:

Imogene (and Luther) Byrd of Ashland, KY

7 grandchildren

and 3 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be conducted Thursday, February 16th, 2006 at 12:00 noon at the Malone Funeral Home with Charles Stewart and Ronnie Mays, ministers. Burial will be in the Holly Nipper Family Cemetery. Visitation will be held Wednesday evening, Feb. 15th, from 6-9pm at the funeral home.

Jerry (and the rest of the family) I am so sorry to read of the death of your mother. I know this is a very sad time for you. I only met your mom once, but I know the caliber of son she raised and I know she must have been a wonderful person. My thoughts are with you and your family.
