John S. Haney, age 77, of Wilson Creek in Carter County, KY, passed away Wednesday morning, March 1st, 2006, in Carter Nursing & Rehab Center.

John was born May 6th, 1928, at Wilson Creek, a son of the late John and Susan Haywood Haney.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by 2 brothers, Robert and James Haney

He was a disabled retired sergeant of the U.S. Air Force serving from 1948 to 1956 when he was retired

His survivors include:

2 brothers:

Clifford Haney

Allen Haney both of Carter County

2 sisters:

Elnora Haney Jespersen of Rockville, Maryland

Bonnie Haney of Carter County

Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, March 4th, 2006 at 1:00pm at the Malone Funeral Home with Harry Thacker, minister. Burial will be in the East Carter County Memory Gardens. Visitation will be held Saturday after 10:00am until service time at the funeral home.
