1920 - 2006

Mander H. Bailey, age 85, of Olive Hill, KY, Veteran of WWII (356th Quartermaster Service Co.) passed away on Thursday, March 9th, 2006, in Kings Daughters Medical Center of natural causes.

Mr. Bailey was born November 2nd, 1920 at Mazie, KY, a son of the late Willie A. and Elizabeth Mae Kelley Bailey.

He was a retired farmer, bus driver and a member of the Leon Church of Christ.

He was husband to Cora Mae Knipp Bailey, daddy to Elizabeth Mae Bailey,

popaw to Amber C. K. Flack, (great) papaw Mander to Dennis Raye Rigsby, III, (Tré) and Joseph Alexander Conley.

Funeral services will be conducted Monday, March 13th, 2006 at 11:00am at the Malone Funeral Home with J.D. Riggs, minister. Burial will be in the East Carter County Memory Gardens. Graveside military rites will be conducted by the East Carter Jr. ROTC. Visitation will be held Sunday evening, March 12th, from 6-9pm at the funeral home.

Elizabeth sorry to hear about your dad I didn't know him personally but I know my grandfather Woodie thought highly of him and enjoyed hunitng with him may God bless during this time and give you comfort

Mander Bailey was my bus driver the first two years of my high school years. 1986 and 1987. Mander was a special, caring person. Who will be missed. My thoughts and prayers are with your family.
