Tim, I am sorry that i couldn't make it to visitation due to being out-of-town working, I have all the respect in the world for your Mother she was just an outstanding & wonderful person. I know that i will miss seeing & talking to her at all the ball games. She always had to brag on Emily (which Emily loved) and reminisce about me coming to the store with my Grandfather and playing b-ball with you outback. She was very proud of her Family and had every right to be. I know words cannot express how you are feeling but as we all know she resting in God's arms and will suffer no more. May God be with you and your Family. I will keep you & your Family in my thoughts and prayers. With Respect, David Slone & Family

To the Kennedy family, We wish to express our heartfelt sadness & expression of loss for the passing of a fine, dear lady, Helen Kennedy. What an inspiration she was to all those she met or had known for years. Her smile and enthusiasm for friends, sports, and life in general made her a joy to be around. May the life lessons and extensions of herself to others live on through all of you. If heaven has box seats and a cheering section, I think we know where Mrs. Helen would be seated! She would be right in the middle cheering for each of you to carry on where she left off. God bless each of you individually and corporately. Peace & blessing, Hugh & Gina McDavid

Helen was one of the first faces we would see every time we entered East Carter gym. She would be there on the front row with her buddies, Mr. Holbrook, Budge Johnson, Mr. Baldwin, Mrs. DeSantis and Mrs. Phillips. Helen was so supportive of all the girls on the basketball team and enjoyed being there so much. She was without question an "Honorary Lady Raider." We feel so fortunate to have known Helen all of these years. Giovanni's won't be the same either. All of your family has been dear to us for many, many years. Helen was a very special lady to so many people. You should find great comfort in knowing just how much she was loved.

Hi, I wanted to let you know how much I loved Helen. My Grandmother, Marge Cline, has lived in the Friendship House for almost four years. I was just about five years old when I first met Helen. She was really neat. She always hugged me and sometimes I would go with her to her apartment and she would give me candy, mostly peppermint. And I REALLY LIKED HER, not just because she gave me candy. Also because she was a very nice person and loved to have me visit her. Tyler Sincell

To all of Helen's family, Words can never say how much Helen was loved or how much she will be missed. She was always quick with a hug and a smile and an uplifting word. Her presence just warmed the whole room. My Mom, Helen Cline, lives in the Friendship House where Helen lived. Mom and Dad knew Helen from way back in the "good old days", and Mom said Helen was always a wonderful person. Earth's loss is Heaven's gain. Linda Bowling

Jim, Tim and family: I know what the last few weeks have been like. Going through this with Mom was very hard. I am so glad that Mom was saved before she died. Now Aunt Helen and Mom will be together forever. We had so many happy times together. Please know that our thoughts and prayers are with all of you. Keep your chins up and know that there is no more pain.

No words can express enough about your mother. She has given this community so many memories. She will also be in this communties heart as we cherish the love she gave to everyone. No one can take the memories of her away. Her personality will live on through memories at Hitchins and East Carter. No one can ever replace that. My heart and prayers go to you at this time. Jim, Tim and Family I'm sorry to hear about Aunt Helen. I remember staying with her in the summer when Mimi and Papa would go grocery shopping in Grayson. She touched alot of people's lives and hearts. I even met a woman named Candy that was working at a shoe store here in Savannah that used to work with Aunt Helen at Giovanni's. It's a small world. I know her and Mimi are in heaven waiting on us all to come home with them. I'm so glad there is a Heaven and they aren't hurting or suffering anymore and we will get to see them again one day. I will be praying for you and your family.

Jim, Tim and Family- My heart goes out to all of you after just recently losing my Mother. I know what you are going through. What wonderful memories I have of Aunt Helen staying with her and Uncle Buell during the summers. I remember how she was always forcing me to eat green beans and cabbage. After many years, I have acquired a taste for and like both. Another fond memory was going to baptisms in the creek and singing Shall We Gather at The River. She was a very loving and caring woman. Mother was so very close to her. I know that they are both together now having a great time, free of pain and suffering. I am unable to come for the funeral, but I will be with you in thoughts and prayers.
