1944 - 2006

Eddie Lee Maddox age 61 of Blaine Trace went to be with the Lord, Saturday in the Hospice Care Center in Ashland. He was born August 27, 1944 in Elliott Co. a son of the late Londa and Mamie Runyon Myers Maddox. He was a member of the Hitchins Gospel Mission where he was Sunday School Superintendent, Church service Board, and led services. He was an army veteran and proudly served 2 years in the Korean War and was a truck driver for 32 years. He was preceded in death by a son Eddie Lee Maddox Jr.

He is survived by his wife of 42 years:

Shirley Yonto Maddox Webbville KY

1 Son:

John Clayton Maddox Webbville KY

2 Brothers and sisters in law:

Donald Eugene and Luella Maddox Sunbury OH

Charles Everett and Connie Maddox Salyersville KY

And a host of nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.

Services will be conducted Tuesday 2:00 p.m. at the Malone Funeral Home by the minister Junior Weese. Burial will be in the Rose Hill Burial Park. Friends may call from 6-9 p.m. Monday and after 9:00 a.m. Tuesday. ECHS Jr. ROTC will be performing military graveside rites. Condolences may be sent to the family at www.timeformemory.com/malone.

John, I am so sorry to hear about your dad. I was out of town at the time and just found out about it or I would have tried to make it there.
