Ruth Ellen Towler, age 81, of Ashland, KY, passed away Monday, July 31st, 2006, at her residence.

Mrs. Towler was born August 11th, 1924, at Grayson, KY, a daughter of the late James and Ottie Armstrong Prichard.

She was a seamstress employed with the Sewing Factory and was a member of the Cannonsburg Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, James C. Fisher; her second husband, Edsel Towler; a son, John Fisher and a step-son, Mike Towler.

Her survivors include:

1 son:

James Edward Fisher of Ashland

1 daughter:

Jean McDowell of Ashland

1 step-daughter:

Patty Salyers of Ashland

1 brother:

James Prichard of Elizabethtown, KY

1 sister:

Dorothy Shearer of Upper Sandusky, OH

15 grandchildren

and 14 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be conducted Friday, August 4th, 2006 at 11:00am at the Malone Funeral Home with Stan Williams, minister. Burial will be in the Coalton Community Cemetery. Visitation will be held Thursday evening, August 3rd, from 6-9pm and Friday after 9:00am until service time at the funeral home.

Such a kind and noble thing to have raised your step-grand kids, as well as your own children. Ruth was a very noble, yet humble lady. Harry Holland (Edsels nephew)
