Little Roy was one of the kindest, most caring people that I have ever known. I miss seeing his wonderful smile and a day doesn't pass that I don't think about him. My life and many others has been blessed by having him a part of it. Our family will never be the same without him and we will always love and miss him very much. I know that one day I will see him in Heaven where we will never have to depart again, until then the memories I have of Little Roy will forever be close to my heart. I miss you lots!

Roy and I were classmates throughout our time at Prichard and East Carter. We sat next to each other in many classes, including Mr. Johnson's history class. Roy was not only a kind, caring person, he was very bright. I always admired his combination of compassion and intelligence. He smiled easily--a sign of his love for life--and often. I am immensely saddened by his death. I pray that your family will find solace in each other and the examples by which Roy lived his life. Sincerely, Lenore Womack Wright
