Mr. John P. Kelley, age 59, of Carrollton passed away Wednesday, October 11, 2006 at his residence.
Mr. Kelley was born July 5, 1947 in Fulton County the son of James Wilson Kelley and Geraldine Ingram Kelley. He worked most of his life as a plumber, was Baptist by faith and was a veteran having served in the United States Navy during The Vietnam War.
Survivors include his wife Gloria Scott Kelley, parents James Wilson Kelley and Geraldine Ingram Kelley of Fairfield Plantation, Villa Rica, children, Jamie Kelley, Georgia, Michelle Kelley, Georgia, David Kelley, Social Circle, Kathy Dee Kelley, Georgia, Brad Kelley, Newnan, Amanda Kelley, West Point, stepchildren Denise Lawrence, FL, Steve Scott, Michigan, Michelle Scott, Ohio, Donald Scott, Carrollton, and Malanea Geiger, Carrollton, brothers and sisters-in-law, Terry and Linda Kelley, Toledo, OH, Tommy and Janice Kelley, Winston, and Danny and Janet Kelley, Douglasville, several grandchildren, nieces and nephews also survive.
Graveside services will be conducted Saturday, October 14, 2006 at 11 o’clock from Stripling Chapel United Methodist Church Cemetery with Rev. Gary Brown officiating. The American Legion Post 143 will fold and present the flag.
Pallbearers include Terry, Tommy, and Danny Kelley, Bill Geiger, and Robert Kemp .
The family will receive friends at J. Collins Funeral Home in Villa Rica Friday from 5 until 8 P.M.
